The Concert Choir has several openings for the Holiday Concert and is looking for new members, especially sopranos and altos.
Please contact dworet@rpi.edu to set up an audition between Oct 14-21. You do not need to prepare anything for the audition (a short solo is optional), but the ability to read music is required. Students who play an instrument but have no prior singing experience are especially encouraged to audition.
The 2022 McKinney Writing Contest is open! Submit in any or all of the following categories: Fiction or Drama, Poetry, Essay / Creative Nonfiction, and Electronic Media Using Language. The Ruderal Ecologies 2 virtual conference will bring together cutting-edge artists, social science scholars and activists working with environmental justice to explore the history and future of environments that are shaped by stress. “Ruderal,” from the Latin rudus (rubble), refers to plant species that are first to repopulate disturbed lands, an apt analogy for the state of our post-industrial landscapes. It is through this lens that we will envision our futures.
This is for acceptance into the academic courses of Rensselaer Orchestra and Concert Choir for the Spring 2022 Semester. For *New* members only; students who auditioned in Fall 2021 are not required to re-audition. Please complete the Spring 2022 Audition Interest Form below, and you will be contacted at a later date with audition details and requirements. Auditions will take place virtually on Sunday, January 9.
Each ensemble will meet during the scheduled course days and times, and perform in two concerts in the Spring.
