The Ruderal Ecologies 2 virtual conference will bring together cutting-edge artists, social science scholars and activists working with environmental justice to explore the history and future of environments that are shaped by stress. “Ruderal,” from the Latin rudus (rubble), refers to plant species that are first to repopulate disturbed lands, an apt analogy for the state of our post-industrial landscapes. It is through this lens that we will envision our futures. Speakers for this three-day event include: Max Liboiron, Bettina Stoetzer, Anna Scime, Tiare Ribeaux, Natasha Myers, Scott Kellogg, WhiteFeather Hunter, and Margaretha Haughwout.
Join us online. The conference is from Friday evening October 22-Sunday October 24.
