Repair Cafe -hosted the the Sustainability Studies program

Please join the school of HASS Sustainability Studies program on Wednesday, April 17th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM in Sage Labs room 2211, as they host a student-run event in the International Repair Cafe model, where volunteer repairers work to mend items brought in by other students and community members, learn about the repair movement, and work together to reduce waste, learn repair skills, and meet new people. There will also be a Junk Arts & Crafts station where people can transform trash into creative works.

EARTH WEEK FILM PROGRAM

What does plastic recycling have to do with colonialism? Can oaks save us from fire? How can we think through neurodivergence toward a more sustainable way of knowing? 
Three films by Pratama Yudya Pradeska (PhD, STS), Ethan Turpin (The Burn Cycle Project, Santa Barbara, CA), and Allison Leigh Holt (PhD, EARTs) break down these intersectional issues at the crux of our current and future climate reality. Curated by Allison Leigh Holt. Showings will be on April 16th in Sage 5510, from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.

Spring 2024 Music Capstone Showcase

On Wednesday, April 24 from 4:00 - 6:30 PM, Graduating music majors will share their senior capstone projects, which encompass a wide range of disciplines, in the HASS Media Studio, DCC 174. Live and recorded performances from bands and the RPI orchestra will be featured, alongside presentations detailing students’ work. Refreshments will be available following the showcase.
