Biography
Xiye Fan is a Cognitive Science PhD student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research interests primarily lie in two areas: how human reasoning works and how the ideas we learn from human reasoning can help us build a better fundamental architecture for AI. Before this, Xiye completed his B.S. dual major in Computer Science and Cognitive Science at RPI, built a solid understanding of engineering, and contributed to his mate's start-up as a principal software engineer.
Beyond work, Xiye enjoys cooking, snowboarding, photography, video gaming, traveling, and anime. He aims to become a terrain park expert and earn a snowboarding instructor certification.
