Major: Design, Innovation & Society & Communication, Media & Design

As a dual major in Design, Innovation, and Society with Communications, Media, and Design at RPI, I am passionate about using creativity to solve complex problems and drive meaningful change. These fields allow me to explore the relationship between people, technology, and design, and how thoughtful innovation can improve everyday experiences. Professionally, they give me the tools to approach challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective — blending design thinking, communication strategy, and social impact. My goal is to work at the intersection of design, storytelling, and user experience, helping organizations create solutions that are both effective and socially responsible.

Throughout my time at RPI, I have worked on a range of collaborative projects that focus on community engagement, strategic communication, and human-centered design. These experiences have strengthened my ability to think critically, work across disciplines, and create with purpose. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue building a career where creativity, innovation, and communication come together to make a lasting impact.

Favorite Class: My favorite classes so far have been my comprehensive design studios. These courses have allowed me to work on complex, open-ended projects that combine creativity, research, and real-world problem solving. I enjoy how the studios challenge me to think critically about user needs, social impact, and the role of design in everyday life. They have strengthened my ability to approach problems from multiple perspectives and have allowed me to build a portfolio of meaningful, interdisciplinary work that reflects my passion for innovation and communication.

Internships/Work Experiences: In Summer 2025, I will intern at Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. in their Digital Division

Advice for incoming or prospective students: My advice for incoming or prospective students is to stay open to new opportunities and not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Some of the best experiences come from trying something new, whether it’s joining a club, taking an unexpected class, or pursuing a leadership role. Building connections with professors, classmates, and mentors early on can also make a huge difference in both your academic and personal growth.
