Biography
Hi! I'm Shruthi Anandraman! I’m a sophomore at RPI majoring in Cognitive Science, a field I chose because of my long-standing interest in psychology and how the human mind works. I have also been interested in Human Computer Interactions and overall Web design. I’ve always been curious about why people think, feel, and behave the way they do, and CogSci lets me explore those questions through classes in psychology, computing and my Dual major in ITWS providing experience in Web Sciences.
Over time, I’ve realized that what excites me most is understanding people at a deeper level (how they learn, make decisions, and handle challenges in everyday life). That curiosity is what’s motivating me to pursue a master’s degree later on in a psychology or HCI-related field.
Ultimately, I want to build a career that blends research and empathy, where I can use what I learn about cognition to design better systems and support people more meaningfully. CogSci has helped me find this path and I strongly trust will help me achieve it!
