Major: EART

Minor: I am pursuing a minor in biology alongside my major in Electronic Arts. I was always fascinated by science and especially at Rensselaer have found the study of biology to be a great place to find creative inspiration.

I chose Electronic Arts as my major because of my passion for digital artwork, visual storytelling, and animation. I am hoping to work in the field of film animation after graduation.

Favorite Class: 2D Experimental Animation has been my favorite class so far, both because of its strong alignment with my area of focus and because of the broad range of visual storytelling techniques and mediums that are explored throughout the course (including stop motion and rotoscoping). I also found the class highly enjoyable due to the freedom of student expression and interpretation allowed within the guidelines for each project.

Advice: For incoming students, my advice is this: be open to changing your path! Things don't always go exactly to plan, interests can change, and new opportunities can be found in the most unlikely of places; it’s all natural and nothing to be afraid of.
