Biography: Pengze Zheng received his B.S. degree in Computer Game Design from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2020, and he is currently a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Critical Game Design program. His research interests include Chinese game culture and industry, Chinese society and ideology, player behavior, game analysis, and the adaptation and localization of games. He is a founding member of the Graduate Student Council for the Department of Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences at RPI. He has participated in multiple university-funded research projects at RPI, including Gameful Immersive Learning and the educational game CureQuest, which is used for medical training. His current research focuses on Chinese internet cafes and the gaming culture.
