Biography: Lucy Yanow (she/her) hails from unceded Ramaytush Ohlone land of San Francisco/Oakland, California where she worked for 17 years in direct service reproduction in a variety of capacities. Lucy is grateful for the frameworks offered by critical theory and science and technology studies that offers space to dream about care, community and activism beyond the heartbreaking realities of direct service. In her spare time she hangs out with her cats Elvira, Enkidu, Phobos, and Cixious, and dogs Lemmy and Leviathan and aspires to become a rescue animal Yenta. She can sometimes be found traveling the world learning other languages and visiting UNESCO World Heritage spa towns.

Hometown: San Francisco, California, USA
