Biography: Lu Cheng is a PhD student studying environmental justice at RPI STS program. She is from China. She has a background in management and economics, and her current research focuses on the environmental issues related to global industrial supply chains. She interesed in applying postcolonialism and feminism to examine the asymmetric positions of China and the Global South in the context of "globalization" and "development," and the global environmental issues arising from this asymmetry. She seeks to explore alternative paths to modern development. In her spare time, she is interested in classical Chinese philosophy.
