Major: GSAS

I'm Jasmin! I'm a game design student as well as an artist and a writer. I love not only play video games but making fan content for them (I'm a sucker for a sad story).

I chose to study game design because I was so completely fascinated with the art of game design. So much goes into making any kind of game, from card games to triple-A studio developed ones. There's a reason we all are so invested in these stories and these games, and I want to make an unforgettable experience as well.

I hope to become an illustrator and a concept artist/designer after graduation, as that's where my skills lie. Most of all, I just hope to create.

Favorite Class: My favorite class so far has been Introduction to Game Design. Professor Brace taught me several memorable lessons on not only the basic ideas of creating games, but valuable advice on how to navigate the industry. It felt so thrilling to be able to develop something substantial with peers for the first time.

Advice: As difficult as something seems, you'll never know for sure until you try it out. Don't give up, and you might surprise yourself. Speaking from personal experience, of course.

Most Interesting Place Traveled: The most interesting place I've travelled has to be Taiwan. I went there for 4 weeks as a 14 year old, and it felt not just unreal to be able to connect with my roots, but taking in the magnificent temples and the amazing food was sublime. I miss it every year, and I hope to return soon!
