Biography: Fahmi Rizki Fahroji is a PhD student in the STS program. He studies energy futures, underground space, indigenous communities and agrarian change. He received the “Research Impact Award” from the Association of Southeast Asian Studies, UK 2022 for his project Futures of Borneo Coal Mine. He is current fellow at the Center for Climate and Sustainable Finance, Universitas Indonesia for policy research and advocacy on the adoption of ecological fiscal transfers at all sub-national levels.
He received a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2020, while also engaging in transcultural tandem research with Ethnologie, ALU Freiburg. He holds a Master’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Glasgow.
