Biography: Chris is a PhD candidate in the Department of Communication and Media at RPI. His background is in English Literature, and he has taught first-year writing and intro to media studies courses, but he has also TA’d for countless other literature, film, psychology, and general media courses. He is currently in the midst of writing his dissertation related to adaptation theory. His dissertation applies principles of cognitive neuroscience to explicate how memory functions in the adaptation experience. Or in other words, how experiencing adaptations is different from our experiences with other types of texts. Email: althoc@rpi.edu
