Hometown: Marietta, GA

Major: Games, Simulation Arts & Sciences & Electronic Arts Dual

Originally, I majored in in GSAS because I took an interest in indie game development during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, I've taken a focus on the arts and animation side of game dev, studying and exploring a variety of art styles, movements, and mediums (such as gothic paintings to collage, abstract expressionism to Y2K aesthetics, and pencil-drawn animation to early CGI)! My personal goal is to make games that, utilizing these aspects of art and creating new ones, break new grounds of creative expression in game development!

Advice: RPI may tell you about their policy that students should study two hours outside of class for every hour in-class. Contrary to impression, it's not mean to be taken literally. What they're trying to convey is how much your success hinges on your own choices and time management. If you are struggling with a class and feel like you should study more, study! If not, divert your time to other classes, responsibilities, or recreation! Nobody is going to remind you to study or get your classwork done, nor are professors going to give you extra credit to improve your grade. It entirely revolves around how you judge your own abilities, and how much work you put in accordingly.

Goals: After getting my undergrad, I'm aiming to pursue a Master's Degree as a means of further refining my skills in game design.

Favorite Class: The Multimedia Century; In that class, we went in-depth on a wide variety of aesthetic changes in both art, film, and music, all taking place in the 20th century! It was a very interesting and eye-opening class, as lot more different movements took place than you may think!

Awards/Recognition: Created the game "GlowStick", which was showcased at GameFest 2024!

Clubs & Organizations: Game Dev Club (Publicity Officer); Art Club (Treasurer); GZ Basement (General Member)

What is the thing you enjoy most outside of school?: Clubs, talking with friends, and working on personal art projects!
