Major: Philosophy and Biology

Minor: Music

I chose biology and philosophy because it's the culmination of the human experience. Our brains are built from biology, but understanding ourselves with science and bettering our lives requires deep philosophical thought. After graduation, I am pursuing either a PhD in molecular biology/genetics or medical school, and I hope to bring my background in ethics with me wherever I go.

Favorite Class: My favorite HASS class so far has been Moral Dilemmas. It's a discussion based ethics class where we examined arguments on difficult issues to learn how to evaluate hard and uncomfortable situations. I liked it because the right thing to do is not always obvious or easy, but coming to your own thoughtful conclusion is half of the battle.
