Economics / Science, Technology, & Society (pre-law)

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA, USA

  • What brought you to RPI?

The 3+3 Law program drew me to RPI. Though I wasn't completely sure if I wanted to study engineering at another school or attend RPI, visiting the campus and meeting students, faculty, and staff at RPI solidified the decision for me. Everyone is very supportive and genuinely wants to see each other do well.
  • What is your favorite class at RPI; why do you like it?

STSH 4430: Drugs in History; Dr. Campbell is a wonderful professor! From doing research projects to the insightful conversations in class, I loved every minute of it! I also really enjoyed getting to know everyone in my class, and loved receiving feedback from both my peers and my professor.
  • What on-campus activities are you involved with?

The Polytechnic, Women at Rensselaer Mentor Program, Rensselaer Orchestra. I had the opportunity to perform with Josh Groban in October 2019 at EMPAC!

  • Why did you choose this program?

I am a Computer Science student and Artificial Intelligence always intrigued me. I worked with Machine Learning tools for a while and at some point realized, something was missing. • What inspires you?

When I see research that changes our understanding of how the world works or discoveries that completely change the way we live, it makes me want to be a part of it. There is a lot of research that gets published every day, a very low percentage of it turns out to be groundbreaking. However, I believe every research article contributes to the path that leads to something great.
  • What are your hobbies?

Photography; Tech Enthusiast; DIY Repairs (Mechanical and Electrical); Fitness
