If you're in Hudson this summer, don’t miss the brilliant “Symphony”—a solo exhibition by Arts Sr. Lecturer Kenneth Ragsdale at the Front Room Gallery, on view through August 31.
Ken’s mixed-media photographs are crafted from hand-built paper dioramas, lit like tiny theater sets and captured with a camera. Rooted in childhood memory and rich with narrative, his work blends drawing, sculpture, lighting, and photography—an evocative nod to artists from the Hudson River School, the1960’s German Realist photographers Bernd and Hilla Becher, and Ragsdale’s own memories of growing up in the Pacific Northwest. The show is open Friday through Sunday, 12-5, and by appointment.
