Join the RPI Concert Choir and the RPI Wind Symphony for their Spring Concert on Thursday, April 16th, at 7pm in the Chapel and Cultural Center at 2125 Burdett Avenue on RPI Campus. The first half of the program will feature the Concert Choir performing Morten Laurisden's radiant "Lux aeterna". The Choir will also perform Franz Biebl's enveloping "Ave Maria", three motets of Thomas Tallis, and a breathtaking setting of "Nkosi Sikelel iAfrika".
Anticipating the upcoming celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the RPI Wind Symphony will perform a survey of works by American composers from across the last 100 years, including Morton Gould's Symphony no. 4, "West Point", Aaron Copland's "Variations on a Shaker Melody", and Adolphus Hailstork's visceral "American Guernica".
Admission is free and open to the whole RPI community.
