The RPI Music Program and Department of Arts, in collaboration with the RPI Chapel and Cultural Center, present an evening of world premieres by the adventurous new music ensemble CODE POEMS.

The electroacoustic duo, featuring Matt Sargent (composition, guitar, electronics) and Taylor Long (percussion), is dedicated to performing experimental works by living composers. The program features two pieces written expressly for the ensemble: Matthew Goodheart’s “Migrations,” for percussion and lap steel with multichannel electronics, and Matt Sargent’s “Several Angels,” for percussion and electric guitar with real-time scoring. Presented in the Chapel and Cultural Center’s resonant sanctuary, the concert explores the intersection of instrumental virtuosity, live electronics, and architectural space in a dynamic program of contemporary electroacoustic works.
