C&M Colloquium with Kevin Coe: Media and Democracy in Tumultuous Times

3/26/25

2:30pm-4:30pm

Sage 4711

Media and democracy in the United States are intricately related and both are in a period of striking tumult. Research on these crucial institutions has had to adjust to several of the forces creating this upheaval, including emerging technologies, increasingly diverse audiences, and growing threats to democratic norms. This talk highlights several research projects that Professor Coe has undertaken to highlight these complex dynamics. It also discusses Professor Coe's approach to administration and teaching, and how periods of tumult can also be periods of opportunity.
