The Final Round of the 2023 Rensselaer Concerto Competition was held in the Chapel and Cultural Center on Wednesday, April 19th.  Seven student finalists auditioned in front of a faculty jury for the opportunity to perform a movement of a concerto with the Rensselaer Orchestra during the 2023-24 Academic Year.  

The Winners of the 2023 Rensselaer Concerto Competition are (listed alphabetically):

Rory Devin, Class of 2023, Piano - Biochemistry/Biophysics and Mathematics Major

Maya Johnson, Class of 2023, Violin - Biomedical Engineering Major

Next year, Rory will perform Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 1, Movement 2 and Maya will perform Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto, Movement 1 with the Rensselaer Orchestra.
