Program Overview
The Minor in Economics offers interested students a rigorous foundation in economics that will complement any academic major. Our students develop expertise in quantitative modeling, data analytics, applied economic theory, and the conceptual tools needed to understand real-world economic issues. Students can choose from a wide range of elective courses based on their specific areas of interest and career goals.
Program Requirements:
The Economics Minor requires a total of 16 credits in economics. Coursework must include the following two courses:
- ECON/INQR 1200 Principles of Economics (4 credits)
- ECON 2010 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory (4 credits)
Any two additional economics courses at the 2000 or 4000 level can be used to satisfy the remaining 8 required credits. Available elective courses include:
