Writing, Minor

Program Overview

The Writing minor offers students the opportunity to write in a variety of genres, media, and contexts. They may choose from regularly offered courses in strategic, creative, or academic writing.

To complete this minor, students must take 16 credits. Course topics include:

  • Writing for Global Audiences
  • Writing for the Screen
  • Strategic Writing
  • Creative Writing: Poetry
  • Creative Writing: Creative Nonfiction
  • Creative Writing: Short Story
  • Speech Communication
