Using the Registration Overrides in SIS (Instructions provided by the Registrar's Office)

  • Override for closed courses
  • Override pre-requisites (include co-requisites)
  • Override for restricted courses
  • Instructor Approval (course is set up so a student can only register for a section with approval)

When to use the Authorization Form, rather than SIS:

  • Schedule Conflict: Approval to take courses occurring on the same day/time.
  • Credit Overload: Instructor permission is not required for this request

If you have any issues overriding a student into your section, please Submit a Request to the Registrar's Office for support.
