Critical Television Final Projects

This course engages students in a critical examination of television in the age of convergent media, illuminated by its history as a dominant popular culture medium. Addressing the question “Why (Not) Change the World of Television?” students create a final project that either suggests some aspect of media that could be improved, or advocates for the positive effect of an exemplary television show or TV-related phenomenon.

Typography Data Project

Project-Designing with Data: Posters and magazine articles were designed
using data to communicate various topics surrounding the COVID-19
pandemic. Students researched articles, scientific papers and media to gather data for their topic.

They critically analyzed and parsed the data to see if it would prove their point. Then they designed
the graphics, wrote the supportive text and designed the layout for the final piece of communication.
