Studio Arts, Minor

Program Overview

Study traditional studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture in conjunction with art history to learn techniques, history and theory in the visual arts.  Students will develop basic skills in perspective, proportion, composition, form making, light and shadow, color, 2D and 3D Design, and learn to articulate ideas about their own, other students’, and historical works through class discussions and critiques.

A Studio Arts Minor consists of 16 credits from the studio arts curriculum, which includes courses in drawing, painting, and sculpture:
