Community Opportunities

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the limits on in-person interaction it has necessitated, traditional music ensembles will not be offered in the Fall of 2020. In their place, the Fusion Music Ensemble will provide an opportunity for student musicians to continue their studies and participate in the musical life of the Institute.

Fusion Music Ensemble
The Fusion Music Ensemble, which will include singers and instrumentalists, will prepare and perform traditional repertoire that builds on students' prior training and experience.  It will also offer opportunities to explore new models for rehearsal and performance in an age of remote interaction and social distancing, including asynchronous collaboration, live network performance, and customized small-group work.  Our goal is to provide an ensemble experience to all students who are interested, whether they are on campus or not.

Rensselaer Orchestra
