A team of graduating seniors in the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences (GSAS) progam has been selected as finalists in the E3 College Game Competition. Their game, IO Interloper, was developed by DANG! LLC, the team consisting of Ben Caulkins, Sam Suite, Janice Ho, Fuller Taylor, Perrin Mercer, and Dorian Licata. IO Interloper, about high-tech espionage and mundane office life, took first place at GameFest in Troy this year, and was nominated for the Best Student Game award at the Independent Games Festival in San Francisco.
E3 (the Electronic Entertainment Expo) is the largest games industry event in North America, drawing over 68,000 attendees. The College Game Competition typically has over 400 entries (one entry per school), and five finalists chosen to exhibit at E3.
E3 takes place June 12–14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
