The Department of Economics is pleased to welcome Senior Reseach Economist Osborne Jackson as guest speaker on Wednesday, March 28, 11:00 am–12:15 pm, in Sage Labs 2510. Dr. Jackson's talk is entitled "The Supply Side of Discrimination: Evidence from the Labor Supply of Boston Taxi Drivers.”
Osborne Jackson is a senior economist in the New England Public Policy Center (NEPPC) in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. His research interests include labor economics and urban and regional economics. Prior to joining the Bank in 2015, he was an assistant professor of economics at Northeastern University. He earned his A.B. in economics from Harvard University and his Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from the University of Michigan.
